  The coffee was ok. The breakfast was very tasty, we took advice from other reviews that the meals are large so ordered a large meal and small to share and it was perfect. We sat outside which was lovely on the clear, cool morning.

  I went there on a Sunday morning for some takeaway the food was ok but the elderly women with dark skin colour who served me first was the rudest person I've ever met. Too bad she wasn't wearing a name badge. Young staffs are very friendly though. Won't come back or recommend this place.

  Defo not the best 'German' food I've had in Hahndorf... Ordered the mixed grill (my way of judging how good the meats are at any restaurant because they usually use off-cuts, and if the off-cuts are good then I'll be back) and was very sodas pointed. The 'special' bbq sauce was an intense tamarind based sauce that just drenched the whole hot-plate of meat. I really couldn't taste anything much else and the sausages were pre-cut for me (another pet-peeve). Overall, great for tourists I reckon.

  It may be yet another touristy cafe serving huge portions of hearty German fare but that's most of Hahndorf and also why most people come in the first place. Cafe Assiette does not disappoint in this regard plus the busy staff are very friendly and deal with the crowds efficiently to boot.
